MOHAMED

I was born in Afghanistan, but five years ago I left my country to live in Iran. My career as an architect and hairdresser came quickly to an end when the Taliban tried to convince me to join them. Not long after, I decided to come to Germany in the hope of a better future. When you ask me about my past, I am reminded of how badly I want to forget the past and all of the terrible things that had happened. I have dreams of being a hairdresser again and bringing my family here to be with me. I never want to go back to my country and see what is going on there. I want to live in peace, in a place where there is no war.
